Welcome to Written With the Wind
Drag your mouse across the wind pictures for a poem about the winter, summer, fall, and spring wind.
Hello,
My name is Kathy Warnes and I am a writer and reader. The wind has always been a powerful, mysterious force to me. In the first grade,I learned to read about the wind in the stories in our reading book, Told Under the Green Umbrella, and quickly discovered what an important part the wind plays in much of our literature and in our daily lives.
I call this website Written with the Wind because I respect the power of the wind, but I love the power of reading. All of the stories, poems, and plays are my original work that I have created through the years and some have been published and some have been just written with the wind.. I hope you enjoy reading them and hope that teachers may use some of them in their classrooms as I have done. Passing on the love of reading to succeeding generations is an important gift.
Sincerely,
Kathy Warnes
