Roller Skating Roll Back and Forth
It used to be you needed a key
To tighten up your strapped roller skates.
They were made of steel,
Fit over your heel
Moved feet and arms like rakes.
Now skates pull on in haste,
Form fit foot and are laced,
Sprint.. glide.. on smooth wheels,
Cover up bare heels.
Keep up an Inline pace.
Skating still brings smiles to faces,
Skates touch mysterious places,
Skates make the day twirl and spin,
Keep pace when jogging with the wind,
Windmill arms still churn in the races!
