Spring Puddles
by Kathy Warnes
Big mud puddles gather in spring,
Spread their fingers like a shoe string,
Mom says be careful so I try,
To walk around them and keep dry.
I wear my red boots even though,
Puddles wait wherever I go,
I cross the puddles with a dash,
And welcome spring with a splish splash!
